Bayonne…Wine importers and retailers are predicting strong sales of Israeli wines this Passover. Major brands like P’sagot and Carmel have added many new wines in time for Passover. Carmel Winery’s new Carmel Special Reserve 40th Anniversary Edition 2016 is high on the list of such experts as Gabe Geller of Royal Wines. “This wine is a tribute to the legendary 1976 Carmel Special Reserve, Israel’s first modern high-quality red wine.” Carmel, the pioneer of the modern Israeli wine industry, was founded by Château Lafite’s Baron Edmond de Rothschild in 1882. A variety of Carmel wines was released in the U.S. in time for Passover 2022. They include reds, whites and bubblies from their Selected series, Private Collection and Applelation series.
