Bayonne NJ…There was a time in the not so distant past that the thought of trying new wines was at best a dream. Some old timers remember the sweet wines by Manischewitz or the Malaga and Tokay wines from Kedem as the only choices for the holidays. This year, says expert Gabriel Geller, the choices are astounding. In addition to the hundreds of quality wines already on the market, this year the Royal Wine Company is launching two great wines from Herzog Special Reserve Russian River Methode Champenoise, a Champagne-style sparkling wine made from 100% Chardonnay grapes and a limited-edition Chardonnay Chalk Hill 2020. From Israel come new wines from Nana Estate. For Dessert wine, Geller recommends Chateau de Rayne-Vigneau 2018, one of the greatest Sauternes ever produced.
