Major Surge in Post-Covid Kosher Travel for Succos; Good Prospects for Passover 2022

London…If this past summer was a break-out period for kosher travel, “Succos is insane,” said Raphy Bloom of At least 20 hotels all over the world are advertising on his website, Mr. Bloom said. He says that many thousands will be travelling for the holiday to destinations in Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East. Mexico has emerged as a key vacation destination with at least three programs in Cancun. Morocco will have programs in Casablanca, Marrakesh, Agadir and Tangier. For the first time there will be a Succos program at the Russelior Hotel in Hammamet, Tunisia. In Europe, there will be programs in several hotels in Italy as well as the Greek Islands. Eli and Treat Kosher will be sponsoring luxury programs in Dubai. Other programs of note are in Cyprus, the King David Hotel in Prague, and KMR at the Arizona Biltmore. Program operators are very encouraged by the major surge of kosher travel, hoping that the trend continues for the Passover season when nearly 100,000 travelled in 2019. Even during the pandemic in 2020, there was an unprecedented surge in travel to places like Orlando.

Israel is still largely closed to foreign guests and the hotels are basically repeating what they did last year, catering to the domestic market.
