Secaucus, NJ…With the rapidly expanding kosher food industry (12% in 2017), there is much to learn about some of the opportunities and challenges of kosher. This year’s Kosherfest will offer trade visitors a remarkable lineup of experts to elucidate and educate. The show opens on Tuesday morning (Nov 13th) with the traditional State of the Industry by Menachem Lubinsky, who this year will celebrate his 30th year as founder, producer and co-producer of the show. He will be joined by Yarden Horwitz, formerly of Google, who last year deciphered some of the trends that will shape the kosher food industry. Recognizing the growing role of foodservice in kosher, there will be a special session, headed by Tim Brown, the former senior executive at Sysco. He will be joined by Bob Sulick and Jerry Bertram. Covering the newest trends in kosher cuisine will be noted chefs and experts Allison Kahn, Mike Gershkovich, Jeff Nathan, and Elan Kornblum. Leveraging technology and online grocery will be the subject of a session by Josh Ray. Technology will also be the subject of a panel of leading rabbis, including Rabbi Akiva Niehaus, Rabbi Shimon Adler and Rabbi Sholem Fishbane. Elizabeth Flynn will cover building an online presence and influence marketing.
