Florida Kosher Food and Wine Experience (KFWE) Sees Return of Throngs

Aventura, Florida…by Eda Kram…More than 1,000 kosher food and wine lovers participated in this year's Kosher Food and Wine Experience (KFWE). The event was sponsored by WIZO (Women’s International Zionist Organization) and Royal Wine Corp. The huge crowd was an indication that people were returning to in-person events in large numbers. The attendees were treated to a huge feast of food and wine including such vendors as Events by Executive Caterers, The Food Art Group (Tres Leches, Meats by the Food Art Group, Fig & Truffle), 26 Sushi & Tapas, KC Catering, Bagel Cove, Krudo, L'chaim Meats, Prairie Street with Street Kitchen Miami & Mendels Backyard BBQ & Brew, CV Culinary Group LLC/ Chef Carlin Vargas, Yos, Le Chocolatier, Miami Beach Chocolates, Dolci Peccati Gelatom, Dikla Delicious, Zohar's Gelato, Macarons By Hadas and La Vela Specialty Coffee.

According to Suzanne Harper, WIZO’s USA Regional Executive Director, “Having been part of Kosher Food and Wine Miami since its inception, I am proud and grateful to see this event blossom into something unparalleled in the kosher world in South Florida. With refined wines and delectable bites, WIZO brings the community together to change lives in Israel.”

As the Co-Sponsors of the event, Royal Wine brought out some of their heavy hitters. According to Jay Buchsbaum, Executive VP of Marketing and Director of Wine Education, “KFWE Miami is an incredible opportunity to showcase the vast selection of kosher wines from all over the world to Florida consumers and provide guests with an opportunity to meet with winemakers and representatives from various wineries. All of the KFWE shows are different, and the Miami show in coordination with WIZO highlights the unique flair only available in Miami.” Mr. Buchsbaum continued by saying that the exciting thing about WIZO is first the food, second the magnificent wines but most of all for people to be able to talk to the individual winemakers and owners of the wineries. This way, visitors were able to get a personal account of what goes into every single wine from wineries in Israel, France, and all over the world.”

Ellen Bodner, Owner of Morad Wines USA, said that she and her husband Gershon owned the winery for 14 years at the foot of Israel's Carmel Mountains amidst the beauty of the fertile Galilee. The Morad Winery in Yokneam transforms nature’s harvest into the world’s finest kosher and kosher-for-Passover wines and liqueurs. Using fruits, vegetables and herbs, our winery produces a large selection of flavorful and exotic offerings – from passion fruit to pomegranate.” There were many celebrities on the floor, including NBA All-Star Amar Stoudemire who was holding his own wine label, called Stoudemire Cellars. On display was an impressive array of wines either produced or imported by Royal Wines.
