Bayonne, NJ…Rosé wines were extremely popular this past Passover but are also being touted as a preferred wine this Spring, according to Gabriel Geller of Royal Wines. Rose wines are typically light in body, relatively low in alcohol, with refreshing acidity. It seems that many wineries around the world are focusing on Rose wines. Matar winery from Israel’s Golan Heights released a new Rosé. It is a very pale pink in color, with aromas and flavors of citrus blossom, grapefruit and cherries. The Herzog Lineage Rosé 2018 is a great option. It is made from no less than 12 grape varieties grown in the Herzog Family’s Prince Vineyard in Clarksburg, CA. Other brands with the Rose wines include Ezreel, Nadiv, Alexander Rose Roger, Carmel Appellation Rose, Castel, Flam, Gush Etzion, Psagot, Shiloh, Tabor, Yatir, (Israel); Covenant (CA); Chateau Roubinr. Les Lauries de Rothschild, Roubine LA Vie en Rose, Saint-Beatrice Indtant B (France); Terra di Seta Meshi (Italy); Goose Bay Blanc de Pinot Noir (New Zealand); and Elvi Vina Encina Rosado and Ramon Cardova Rosado (Spain).
