Jerusalem…The Erlich’s had planned to spend the upcoming Sukkot holiday in the holy land and even booked air travel six months ago. What they did not expect was a restricted market for homes that were large enough to accommodate their large family. For good reason! Record numbers are expected to travel to Israel for the holiday. The good news for Sukkot comes on the heels of a rebounded kosher travel summer season. “Quite a few hotels are very close to being sold out with limited rooms left,” according to Raphi Bloom of Totally Jewish Travel. He also notes that even at this late date recent programs are launching in Europe and Morocco. “The levels of traffic we have seen since the summer have been extremely high and consistent and there has been a great appetite for kosher travel.”
