Secaucus, NJ – After many years of planning and different owners, the American Dream mall and entertainment center in the Meadowlands seems to at last be taking shape. Now owned by the Triple Five organization of the Ghermezian family, who also built some of the world’s largest malls in Bloomington, Minnesota and Edmonton, Canada, the American Dream mall will include a kosher food court that will be the largest ever built in a mall. The organization is hoping to make it a destination for the many kosher shoppers but also is planning to feature some of the best food offerings, to attract an even broader audience than just Orthodox Jews who eat kosher. Management is cognizant of the fact that the mall is located in the hub of the Jewish community in Metro New York. While the opening of the mall may be a year away, the Ghermezians are already laying the groundwork for what they promise will be quite a kosher experience.
