Yogurtland Launches Kosher Store in Continuing Trend of Many Chains

IRVINE, CAYogurtland, a leading frozen yogurt chain, recently obtained kosher certification from the Rabbinical Council of California for its Beverly Connection location in Los Angeles. Yogurtland is the latest chain to opt for the kosher status in select locations following such well-known names as Dunkin Donuts and Baskin Robbins as well as, more recently, The Coffee Bean. This is the first Yogurtland location to be kosher-certified.

At Yogurtland’s self-serve frozen yogurt shops, guests approach a wall of sweet and tart yogurt flavors and a topping bar filled with healthful and indulgent options. Paying by the ounce, guests can choose among 16 yogurt flavors to create their own delicious frozen treat and top it off their way. “We are excited to work with Yogurtland to ensure this location meets all kosher requirements for both its frozen yogurt and toppings,” said Rabbi Yakov Vann, Director of Kashrut Services for the Rabbinical Council of California. “Certified kosher frozen yogurt from Yogurtland will be a welcomed treat for the kosher community.”

There are more than 200 locations across the U.S., Australia, Guam, Mexico and Venezuela with more than 50 additional locations scheduled to open over the next six months. All of Yogurtland’s flavors are produced in a kosher-certified facility. Yogurtland features non- and low-fat yogurt flavors as well as non-dairy and no sugar added choices.
