New York…If wine is for happier occasions, then Rosh Hashanah this year certainly qualifies. This year kosher wines are making news with many new kosher launches. The Covid-19 pandemic does not seem to have diminished the galloping business for kosher wines. Some prices for good wines are actually coming down like 2019 Bordeaux wines. Gabriel Geller of Royal Wines said that the decrease was not because of Covid but because the prices had gone through the roof and had to come down. Royal Wine just released Chateau Guiraud 2017, 16 years after the last kosher cuvee was produced by the celebrated 1st classed growth Sauternes estate.
