Social Media Plays Major Role of Kosher

NEW YORK — The emergence of social media as a key factor in the growth of kosher will again be  an important theme at Kosherfest. One of the major sessions on the opening day of the show  will be devoted to social media. The session entitled “Building Your Brand's Online Presence via Social Media” will be discussed by a panel consisting of Esti Berkowitz, Blog Ambassador & Kosher Traveling Mom, Beth Feldman, President, RoleMommy.com and BeyondPR, Beth Rosen, Social Media Strategist & Brand Ambassador, and Tamar Weinberg, Freelance Writer & Internet Marketing Consultant.

Even before Kosherfest opens tomorrow, food writers, culinary editors, media personalities, recipe bloggers, cookbook authors and food brand professionals participated in a pair of pre-Kosherfest events on Monday November 12th. It began with a conference at the Carlton Hotel in Manhattan and is scheduled to end with a three course gourmet dinner and wine tasting presented by Chef Jeffrey Nathan at Abigael’s.

The wine tasting and wine sampling is sponsored by Royal Wine. Other sponsors include Manischewitz and Jelly Belly. Part of the proceeds of the evening will be donated to Masbia, the New York area kosher soup kitchen. The event is coordinated by the SweetUp Team http://www.facebook.com/Sweetup2012 and Koshereye.com.
