New Fudge Cookies from Stella D’oro

Stella D’oro has long been known for its Swiss Fudge cookies. Recently, the company introduced  Chocolate Swiss Fudge Cookies. Fudge originated in Switzerland, giving the cookie its name. This star-shaped chocolate cookie has a center filled with pure, delicious fudge. This new cookie is similar to their original Swiss Fudge but has a rich chocolate base.

In 1922, Joseph Kresevich arrived in the United States from Trieste, Italy and began working in various neighborhood bakeries of New York City. He grew to love the craft so much that he began mixing, baking and researching his own recipes. Six years later Joseph married Angela, an expert baker in her own right. They established their own neighborhood bakery and called it Stella D’oro, which means “star of gold.” The bakery offered a select variety of lightly sweet Italian baked goods made by the Italian couple.

Throughout the years they began selling the treats under the Stella D’oro Biscuit Co. name. Today, Stella D’oro is a welcomed and important part of the Snyder’s-Lance family of brands. With over two dozen Stella D’oro products to choose from, you can still taste the fresh-baked flavors of Joseph and Angela’s neighborhood bakery in every bite. All of Stella D’oro products are certified kosher Pareve by the Orthodox Union (OU). For more information visit:
