Kosherfest Program Highlights Celebrity Chefs and Retail Expert

Secaucus, NJ- This year’s Kosherfest which opens next Tuesday (November 11th) for the 26th year will place a great deal of focus on enhancing business opportunities for those involved with kosher. The culinary innovations in kosher will be highlighted by demonstrations from Katsjui Tanabe, the chef partner at Mexikosher in Los Angeles and Chef Avi Roth of Gotham Burger. Many of the chefs will participate in the 7th Annual Culinary Competition that takes place on Wednesday November 12th at noon in a program cosponsored by the Center for Kosher Culinary Arts in Brooklyn.

In addition to the individual meetings with companies, retailers will have a unique opportunity to hear Michael Sansolo, a long-time senior vice president of the Food Marketing Institute and editor of Progressive Grocer magazine. He is considered one of the leading experts on retail. Sansolo’s session will take place on the first day of the show at 12:45 p.m. Other highlights will be presentations to the winners of the New Product Competition, the winner of the “Kosher Supervisor of the Year” by Kashrus Magazine, and the Author’s Corner with leading kosher cookbook authors.
