Kosher Restaurants Convert into Creative Models

New York…The kosher restaurant industry is adopting many creative models to stay in business, according to Elan Kornblum, one of the nation’s leading experts on the kosher restaurant scene. Many are extending these successful models into the upcoming Passover holiday (eve of April 8th). For example, while temporarily closed, Abigael’s (Midtown Manhattan) is selling their signature gluten free kosher for Pesach panko crumbs. Many restaurants are offering takeout and delivery for Passover. While La Marais restaurant will be closed the butcher shop is already kosher for Passover and is taking orders. The well-known Michael Schick Catering has two options available: An a la carte choice where you can pick from their menu. Or a package with a set menu that feeds 7 adults and 3 children. Five Star Catering in New Jersey is making deliveries free to most of New York and New Jersey. The menu includes meat and dairy items as well as drinks, and high grade paper goods.
