Kedem Celebrates 70th Anniversary as Companion to Growth of Industry

Bayonne NJ…The Kedem story began prior to the World War II but its prominence in food and wines very much followed the growth and development of the kosher food industry in the US and elsewhere. Founded in 1948, the Herzog family winery was renowned as the Royal wine supplier to the emperor of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Emperor Franz Joseph, eventually earning Phillip Herzog (1843-1918) the royal title of Baron. Although Kedem today is home to hundreds of international award-winning wines and an extensive array of products from around the world, now served by its food division Kayco, it is the Kedem brand that is front and center of its celebration, a heritage that defines the Herzog’s signature of quality. Utilizing every medium that reaches the kosher consumer, the anniversary is being marked with an extensive media campaign in print, on line, and its internal publications.
