TEL AVIV -- Israeli media reports that Eden Springs, producers of bottled water under the Eden label, has become a major drink supplier to workplaces in Europe where the company's strategy is to continue to expand its presence there. In line with that strategy the company has purchased Garraway's, a leading British coffee supplier for over 300 years.
The deal increases Eden Spring's sales in Britain to more than $17 million. The acquisition potentially increases the Eden Springs customer base by 5,000 organizations, corporations and institutions. Garraway's is the second coffee company purchased by Eden Springs. The first was Shakespeare Coffee in 2011 and reflects the company's intention to become a leader in the marketing and distribution of water and beverages to major European corporations, offices, hotels, restaurants and other food service locations.
