Israeli Companies Hope Kosherfest will Further Kosher Market Share

Secaucus NJ - The Yaniv family believes that their natural pure juices, Priniv, will be well received in the American kosher market where sales of citric beverages have been steadily rising. Another family-owned business that has been producing among other things a line of gourmet spices is Neptune Foods which is also looking to increase its share in the American market. Priniv and Neptune will be amongst 14 companies to exhibit in the Israeli pavilion at Kosherfest next month with other companies like Tnuva who will be in a booth outside of the pavilion. Other exhibitors in the pavilion include the 90-year old Angel bakery, J&G Pecans, Ma’adaney Yehiam (deli), Agas Yarock (line of authentic tahini), Manamin (wafers, ice cream cones), Engel Cookies, and Jerusalem Wineries (a conglomerate of wines from Jerusalem wineries). The Israeli exhibitors represent a rapidly growing cadre of companies looking to expand beyond the Israeli market, which is the world’s largest kosher market with some $20-25 billion in annual sales. Israeli food exports to the US is approaching $275 million, which is a staggering increase over just 5 years ago. Expanding their reach into the US kosher market would give these companies a share of the world’s second largest kosher market.
