Crown Heights Based JackÕs Gourmet Makes Waves With its New Salami and "Facon"

BROOKLYN, NY - Beginning in a small kitchen, the founders of Jack’s Gourmet developed and refined the products that today make up a popular line of offerings this category leader, including authentic New York Style corned beef, "facon", pastrami and assorted ethnic sausages.  They were the winners this year of Kosherfest’s New Product Competition for Best New Meat/Seafood/Poultry Item for their new product, “Facon”, and won the Best New Deli Item for their Spicy Italian Style Salami. Jack’s Gourmet uses only quality meats and seasonings and never uses artificial ingredients, fillers, by-products or MSG. According to Jack Silberstein, CEO of Jack’s Gourmet, “This will be the third year that we have attended Kosherfest and we continue to attend because it allows us to meet with the direct buyers of our products and get feedback as to how people feel about the products.”  Many a Kosherfest visitor takes a double take when they see “kosher sausages”.
