Co-Packers Play Big Role in the Success of Kosher

Clifton, NJ…by Eda Kram…Not all exhibitors or major brands exhibiting at Kosherfest own manufacturing plants. In fact, a significant number have their products produced by co-packers who have increasingly emerged as key sources in the thriving kosher food industry. One such co-packer is Bronx River Bottling (formerly the food division at Mirrotek). In their modern manufacturing facility located just 30 minutes from New York City, they produce an array of innovative low acid and acidified foods. Whether it is private label sauces that they produce, products that they co-pack for others or developing their own unique brands, they are proud of their quality. Bronx River ( packages foods in a large variety of sizes and can customize to meet the individual specific needs of companies. They are the exclusive co-packer of the well-known Iron Chef line of sauces and marinade as well as Tammy's kitchen products. Kosher is an important part of their business which is why they have been an exhibitor at Kosherfest for a number of years.

“We have made wonderful contacts with titans looking for co packing and private labels (at the show),” said Tami Bezborodko, Co- Owner of Bronx Bottling Company and part of the family owned business. She added: “In general, we find that this show attracts many mainstream buyers who arrive looking for new, trending and innovative items.” Kosher food sources say that co-packers represent more than half of kosher food that are manufactured. They predict that an increasing number of young entrepreneurs will come up with creative new food ideas and will seek out co-packers to execute their ideas.”
