Brooklyn’s Chamber of Commerce Promotes Kosher Restaurants

Brooklyn…In a borough that arguably has the largest number of kosher eateries outside of Israel, it is natural to have a special week. The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce kicked off its 2nd Annual Kosher Restaurant Week yesterday as part of a week-long celebration of kosher cuisine. As many as 24 restaurants, four more than last year, are participating. As part of Kosher Restaurant Week, certain participating eateries will offer fixed menus at a fixed price, while others will provide patrons with a complimentary glass of wine, appetizer or dessert. "Brooklyn has some of the finest kosher food in the world, so it only makes sense that it has its own restaurant week," said Carlo A. Scissura, President & CEO of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce. "Food brings cultures together, and this festival will introduce kosher cuisine to people of all ethnicities from across Brooklyn. I can't wait to visit some of these restaurants, and I encourage all Brooklynites to do the same.” The week is being coordinated by Great Kosher Restaurants Magazine, headed by Elan Kornblum, its President and Publisher.
