Brianna’s Thrilled with Their Kosher Certification after More Than a Year in the Kosher Market

Brenham, Tx - Over the past few years, the ‘healthy eating, healthy living’ concept has literally taken the world by storm. We find ourselves spending hours in the supermarket poring over food labels in search of products free of preservatives, food coloring, GMOs, sugar, trans fats, high fructose corn syrup, and the list goes on. The enthusiasm for healthy eating has hit the kosher world as well; with kosher consumers demanding that healthy food items line the kosher supermarket shelves. This has created a great opportunity for many companies who until recently were primarily selling to the general food market, but now find it advantageous to seek kosher certification.

Eating fresh, raw foods essentially means that we are dishing up salads very often, perhaps for some even multiple times a day. Add in Shabbat and the Jewish Holidays and there is plenty of crunching to go around. One such company who had considered going kosher for years is Texas-based, Brianna’s Fine Salad Dressings. Feeling that the time was right in 2014 they obtained their kosher certification under the Orthodox Union (OU) after 32 years in the non-kosher market. “We had been pushing it for a long time, and finally obtained our kosher certification,” explains Scott Harding, a representative of Brianna’s. “Now that we have been in the kosher market for over a year we can confidently say that it was a great move, the response from our consumers has been great!” Named after the owner’s daughter and grandson, Brianna’s is world-renown for its tasty salad dressings, boasting flavors such as Saucy Ginger Mandarin and Rich Poppy Seed. Each dressing is crafted from heart healthy oil, free of trans fats and high fructose corn syrup. Brianna’s aim to create the highest quality salad dressings, with sugar free, fat free, and gluten free options available. Nine out of Brianna’s fifteen dressings are kosher certified. Brianna’s were also awarded the ‘Best in Show’ award in the Condiments, Sauces, Dressings, & Marinades category at Kosherfest 2015.  “When we became kosher, we were able to keep our salad dressing recipes the same, which enabled us to keep our products to the highest standard possible.”
