Lessons Learned from Passover 2022

It is beginning to look like a most unusual and even distressful Passover. The calendar gave us plenty of breathing room as the holiday was almost a month later due to being a leap year. What I did was give people enough time to make Passover plans despite the lingering fears of Covid. It allowed for early production and shipping from overseas, in many cases avoiding shortages.

Even the production of matzah was completed well before the outbreak of the Russia-Ukrainian hostilities, possibly bypassing wheat shortages. Multiple brands produced basic Passover staples further preventing severe shortages. Sure, you can credit the calendar but also a very experienced and creative kosher food industry!
