Secaucus NJ…The accolades continued to pour in as many visitors touted the 31st edition of Kosherfest (November 12-13, Meadowlands Exposition Center) as “the best show ever.” Both visitors and exhibitors praised to show for “being trendy,” “more new products,” “great assortment of wines,” “many new faces,” and “definitely a major upgrade.” Veteran exhibitors and visitors particularly praised the fact that the show had more than 100 new exhibitors, nearly 1,000 new buyers and a significant increase in the number of foodservice representatives. Several exhibitors said that they wrote tens of thousands of dollars in new business and that they met “many new faces” including buyers from well-known supermarkets and discount stores. “This was definitely a buying show,” an exhibitor of glassware said. New smaller companies said that they had their best opportunity in years to meet with buyers due to the show’s focus this year on the newer and evolving companies, including a record 22 booths of wines and exhibits from nearly two dozen countries. Maria Dany Leon de Andrade who represented the Brazilian trade delegation said: “My team was extremely happy to be there as we met very interesting people that we would never have met anywhere else.” Many of these new booths replaced several well-known exhibitors who were not at Kosherfest this year. Rebooking for the 2020 Kosherfest (November 11-12) are already ahead of last year.
