Kosher Dining at an International Destination

While I don’t usually write about my personal dining experiences and I certainly don’t do restaurant reviews. I couldn’t resist sharing my experience at UN Plaza Grill. My wife and I were taken by the classy venue within earshot of the United Nations and located in Trump Towers. We dined on an absolutely magnificent menu that began with an assortment of great vegetable sushi and potsticker dumplings. Our main course consisted of steak to perfection with some great sides like mushrooms, string beans with almonds and eggplant. Dessert consisted of baked Alaska on a chocolate cookie, beignets with caramel, chocolate and vanilla and bittersweet mocha with key lime. All this with some great Psagot wine and champagne which made for a wonderful experience.

The restaurant is owned by Entrepreneur, Albert Gad, who has an apartment in the building just above the restaurant. Unable to find a great Kosher meal in the city, Albert bought UN Plaza Grill and opened it in 2017 to create a restaurant that would appeal to Kosher consumers, business professionals and individuals seeking a truly special dining experience. Executive Chef, Hok Chin, who was named one of Best Chefs America, leads an extraordinary team of professionals. General Manager, Ghandi Kimia, is the consummate host in what is clearly an international setting and staff. Under the kosher certification of the Orthodox Union (OU), it is truly a magnificent kosher dining venue.
