Whether preparing for a career as a kosher chef or polishing up on cooking skills to be a better home chef, the Center has become an increasingly popular institution in the constantly growing kosher environment. “We aim to teach, inspire, and develop a love for cooking, while training the chefs of tomorrow in a new state of the art facility,” is how the Center positions itself. The professional program consists of 216 hours of hands-on training in professional level culinary skills and techniques. Their goal is to train students to an acceptable level in the food service industry, thereby enabling graduates to procure gainful and rewarding employment opportunities. The Center also offers job placement services to graduates as well as assistance in launching careers as private chefs, caterers, or entrepreneurs. For those seeking to improve their cooking skills at home, the Kosher Culinary Center offers a wide array of hands-on recreational classes: steak night, culinary date night, chopped competitions and instructional classes such as fresh pasta workshop, sushi making, and Asian appetizers.
The Kosher Culinary Center has become an integral part of Kosherfest, planned for November 11-12 at the Meadowlands Convention Center in Secaucus. “We are proud and honored to be partnering with Kosherfest to host the new product competition at our facility again this year.
