Healthy Food Market Utilizes Kosher to Reinforce Quality Message

Anaheim CA…To be sure, there was a noticeable presence by kosher representatives at the 39th Annual Natural Products Expo West (March 5-9, Anaheim Convention Center), the world’s largest natural, organic and healthy products event. But what amazed people like Yakov Yarmove of Albertsons and a key expert on kosher, was the sheer number of exhibits that flagged their kosher certification. Although they were not necessarily targeting kosher consumers (as Kosherfest does), it seemed as if hundreds of exhibits used their certification to promote the quality of their products. The trends at the show were interesting even for kosher. There were Beet burgers. Mushroom burgers. Anything-but-meat burgers. Keto ice cream, Superfoods. CBD-infused water, beverages, and health and beauty products. One visitor said that a significant number of the 3,600 exhibitors had some form of kosher certification. Some of the products like KIND brand are already selling well in the kosher market.
