Chicago…The Association of Kashrus Organizations (AKO) is planning to resume a long-standing tradition of holding its annual conference the day after Kosherfest which will be on November 10th. As in the past, the conference will be held at the headquarters of the Orthodox Union (OU) which recently moved its offices to 40 Rector Street in Downtown Manhattan. The annual conference brings together leading kashrus authorities from around the world and has become an important forum for certifying agencies globally. In the interim, AKO is planning its first Yiddish Conference, a reflection of the growing segment of Chasidim who are involved in kosher certification as well as the overall growth of the Chasidic community. The Yiddish Conference is open to foodservice and industrial mashgichim and will take place on September 15, 2022, at the YM-YWHA of Union County.
