Chicago…The annual convention of the Association of Kashrus Organizations (AKO) did not take place as usual on the day after Kosherfest. It has been rescheduled for December 26-28 at the Delta Marriott in Woodbridge NJ, according to Rabbi Sholem Fishbane, AKO’s executive director. The Convention is being hosted and sponsored by the Kok K in memory of its late founder, Rabbi Harvey Senter. AKO expects to cover many Covid related issues including travel to plants in red zone countries. AKO officials cautioned that they intend to enforce strict Covid safety protocols, including the requirements to have a negative PCR test 72 hours prior to the convention. AKO will provide on-site testing.
