AKO Adapts to Growing Core of Chasidic Kosher Supervisors

Chicago…The growing Chasidic community has also increased demand for kosher certification that meets the standards of Chasidim. At the same time, many of the kosher supervisors in general are Chasidic Jews whose primary tongue is Yiddish. In recognition of these changes, the Association of Kashrus Organizations (AKO) has announced plans to hold its first ever Yiddish Conference on September 21st at Tiferes Mordechai (Viznitz) in Staten Island. The conference will focus on particular issues that are more common when running a hashgacha with the Chasidic standards.
