Jerusalem…As many as 125,000 people will be traveling to destinations throughout the world for this coming Passover More than 200,000 Israelis will spend the holiday in hotels throughout Israel. Many Israelis are choosing to stay close to home this year in response to a warning by Israel’s counter terrorism division of possible attacks in such countries as the UAE, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Bahrain. Greece and Cyprus were also cited as possible targets for what is believed to have Iran’s fingerprints. The experts are also concerned that Ramadan and Passover overlap. According to Raphy Bloom of World Jewish Travel, 110 programs in the USA and elsewhere are listed on his website (www.totallyjewishtravel.com). As expected, inflation and supply chain issues have resulted in higher prices in all categories (luxury as well as general). Passover programs this year will be in nearly 20 nations around the world including the Bahamas, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, Dubai & The UAE, Europe, Mauritius, Mexico, Morocco, Panama, South Africa, Egypt, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, and more than a dozen states in the USA.
