 Mendelsohn’s New Line of Frozen Pasta Dishes
By Eda Kram…Mendelsohn’s, a well known frozen pizza brand, introduced a new line of frozen pasta dishes, including Eggplant Parmesan, Baked Ziti, Vegetable Lasagna, Eggplant Spinach Roll, Lasagna Spinach Roll and plain Lasagna. Mendelsohn’s started out as a small pizza shop in Brooklyn with no seating and a menu consisting of only Pizza, Falafel and French Fries. Rabbi Mayer Mendelsohn, a Chasidic Jew, was one of the first to establish a kosher pizza store in Boro Park. Three generations of the Mendelsohn family continued to expand the store as well as a popular line of frozen pizza, which along with the new items are available at most local kosher grocery stores and supermarkets.
