Having returned from a 48-hour visit to Israel, I found disinformation on the kosher certifications at AgriProcessors. In my Sixth Sense I set the record straight. I also found an interesting fact about the PepsiCo-Strauss deal, which is in the Duly Noted column...Recession? Maybe not, but kosher retailers say they are feeling the pinch...The Agri story continues, this time with the Unions repeating their automated calls...Kosher wines are receiving notice from some of the most prestigious sources, but leading the pack are Israeli wines...Sarah Cohen in her feature covers some interesting kosher travel to Europe...In Chicago, one chain was already showcasing Passover...El Al's new chief rabbi speaks about many upgrades but not about a 2-year vexing problem...The kosher community remembers the late Rabbi Shimon Eider...In Here and There a new DVD for kids by the OU, a white supremacist wants kosher food and a kosher diva comes out with her fifth new cookbook...Eda Kram in her New Product Showcase covers new soufflés.

Please note: next week's KosherToday will be sent on Tuesday, January 22nd because of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.
