The two largest Orthodox Jewish organizations in America held their national conventions over the Thanksgiving Day weekend. Agudath Israel of America met in Stamford, Conn. and the aftermath of the Monsey poultry scandal was very much on the agenda. In Jerusalem, the Orthodox Union hosted Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and also covered many issues of concern to American Jewry. The OK Kosher Supervision hosted a major international conference for kosher supervisors... A Kansas City deli almost lost its kosher certification when it simply moved...
